Life Drawing – Refresher

Life class June2 Here’s a Saturday class and a chance to refresh and build your life drawing skills.

I’ll be supporting you to find your way, valuing your unique approach, and teaching approaches to working dynamically and drawing proportionally. We’ll start with a presentation and discussion, followed by two hours of drawing with a model.

Beginners and intermediate students are welcome – we all have to start somewhere! My life drawing classes are always warm, engaging and rewarding. I provide an encouraging environment, so even if you are really sure you can’t draw you will be pleasantly surprised.

What should I bring?

Please note that we are operating under a Covid-safe plan and due to restrictions at the venue, I can only offer chairs (instead of the easels, drawing boards and tables we previously used). The kitchenette is also closed.

Materials: please bring your own board and cushion if you want to work on A2 (or larger) paper on the floor, or a smaller sketch book if you’ll be working from a chair. Please bring your own regular materials, but note that no fixative or volatile substances (such as oil-based pens or paints) can be used in the studio for the health and safety of all. Here’s a suggested list of drawing materials for those just starting out.

Sustenance: please bring your own snacks and drinks. There is a kettle and microwave we are allowed to use, but all utensils and crockery are off limits…please byo!
