Schools – linking art and curriculum

I develop custom workshops and residencies in consultation with schools. Over the years I have participated in many short and medium-term school-based residencies. I have also developed several Professional Development series for art teachers (and other teachers and staff within the school community)

Worshops for upper secondary include:

  • installation
  • assemblage
  • Kindling the creative fire – overcoming creative blockage and dead ends.

Workshops with primary schools include:

  • art + science projects – exploring the natural world, enhancing connection to forests, creeks, rivers, animals, etc.
  • sense of place projects – exploring local identity, school history, local neighbourhoods, etc
  • skill-builders: portraiture, costumed life drawing, etc

Growing skills & mastering techniques

Life Drawing
