Life Drawing

Life drawing classes in north-west Brisbane

We are really lucky to have regular life drawing classes in the Hills District of Brisbane! I offer weekly classes and welcome all levels from beginners to experienced artists. The regular group is warm and encouraging, so you’ll quickly find a comfortable place in this life drawing group!

Our venue is small, so I take weekly bookings to make sure we have enough, and not too many people in the room. To join the call-out list, please contact me on the form below.

We welcome all levels of skill! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, you’ll find this group inspiring. There is no pressure on you to perform, and you can build your skills at your own pace. The sessions open a space to enjoy catching up with other creatives and to get inspired by each other. They also give us a chance to take some time for self nourishment and care after the mid-week work hump. Each week, the two hours cover a mix of short and medium poses, up to 20 minutes long. This means you get the best of both worlds: being able to hone-in and develop your work, while also keeping your mark-making alive and expressive.

The Venue

Bunya House

The Hills District of north-west Brisbane is where our venue, Bunya House is located. When you complete form below, I’ll give you more information. Bunya House is appoximately 13km from the city centre.

What should I bring?

Please bring your own paper and drawing materials. I offer chairs, small tables, easels and drawing boards, depending on your needs. The venue is carpeted and has mixed use, so there are some restrictions:

  • please don’t bring solvents, or oil paints
  • if you are a painter using acrylics, please bring an old towel (or similar) to avoid paint splashes on the carpet.
  • if you use fixative, you’ll need to use that on the patio outside.
