Tinkerbell
Catching a fairy is hard work, but drawing one is another story… Fairies are vain and love to see themselves reflected in dew drops. On April fools’ day, let’s see if we can coax this fey little trickster into posing for us.
This costumed life drawing session is from a series of Saturday classes for young people accompanied by an adult. Always fun, these sessions are a chance to do something creative together that will support your skills to stretch and grow.
In this session you’ll develop your observational drawing skills, and capture the ‘essence’ of the character. But don’t tell Tink that… she will surely flit away.
Don’t be shy, all levels of skill are welcome, from absolute beginners to world famous artists and everyone in between! Everyone has to start somewhere and with a small group, the atmosphere is friendly, encouraging, and lots of fun.
Is this for me?
This session is great for young people aged between 12 and 17 who have an interest in drawing…And for the adults who accompany them: you too will learn and have fun and get to do something creative and fun with your young person. If you would like to join but fall outside this age range, contact me for a chat. There are only ten spaces available (five family pairs) so be quick to secure your spot by enrolling below.
What will we be doing?
The afternoon has two parts:
We start by looking at diverse approaches to drawing, identifying drawing interests and exploring techniques. Then we spend two hours drawing our character. The model will do a mix of short and longer poses in costume and in character.
There will be a short tea break half-way through the life drawing session. Please let me know if you have any relevant allergies.
