Life Drawing is so good for the brain – working out the left-right hemisphere connections and activating new neural pathways. It has been proven by the Mayo Clinic to be one of the best ways to maintain cognitive health as we age.
A foundational session of tips and techniques for those who are at beginner and intermediate skill levels.
This is the second in the series, but you can join at any stage and pick up skills at any point.
Date and time
Saturday 22 June, 1pm-4pm
The session runs for three hours. It starts 1pm with a group tutorial and demonstrations, and continues with two hours of life drawing, including individual support. Please aim to be there on time so that you get the most out of the session.

What to bring
Easels and drawing boards are provided. I shall provide some materials for this session – a couple of sheets of A2 paper and willow charcoal for some experiments. Apart from that, please bring your own paper and drawing materials. If you prefer to get paper on the day, I offer A2 sized cartridge paper at cost – 30cents/sheet. Here’s a suggested list of drawing materials (but don’t feel you have to rush out and buy a lot of materials…we’ll work with what you have).
